Community Involvement

This is the page where you will highlight your community involvement.  For example:

Community Involvement

We are passionate advocates of community involvement and take our role as a provider of information and resources very seriously. Each of our teams participate in year-round outreach and activism in areas of need that reflect the communities of their clients. Below are a few of the organizations we support and we encourage you to support them as well!

San Francisco and Marin Food Banks

The mission is to end hunger in San Francisco and Marin. It’s a huge job that’s only gotten harder as our community struggles with a prolonged period of economic distress and record numbers of people are pushed to the point of hunger. Thankfully, thousands of caring donors and supporters have rallied around the Food Bank and enabled them to scale up their operations to meet the need. With 120 employees, 25,000 volunteers each year, and 450 partner organizations throughout the community, the Food Bank is vital lifeline for people in need of food assistance.

El Festival de San Francisco – Latin American Food, Health, and Wellness Festival

The Latin American Food, Health & Wellness Festival unifies Latin American Culture and Cuisine with regional Heath & Wellness providers. A celebration of the diversity of the local community and an opportunity to inspire, educate, and enrich about the Health & Wellness issues that effect the community’s well-being. Proceeds from El Festival go directly to the California Culture Health and Education.

La Casa de Las Madres

The mission of La Casa de las Madres is to respond to calls for help from domestic violence victims, of all ages, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They give survivors the tools to transform their lives. They seek to prevent future violence by educating the community and by redefining public perceptions about domestic violence. La Casa de las Madres acts boldly to create a community where violence against women and children is not tolerated. They envision a society in which all individuals and families have equal access to basic resources and asset-building opportunities.

SFTLA Summer Diversity Fellowship

The SFTLA Diversity Committee has established a Fellowship Program to introduce a diverse group of law students to the plaintiffs’ bar generally and to the SFTLA specifically. The Fellowship Program will allow selected students to observe the work of trial attorneys as part of a summer-long mentoring program. Fellows will gain exposure to the work of trial attorneys by "shadowing” three mentor law firms, each for a three to four week period. Fellows will attend depositions, hearings, settlement proceedings, and possibly even trial with their mentors. They will also have the opportunity to work on short-duration projects, including a writing assignment.
